Conviction (Club Destiny #1)(43)

“What is that room?” Sam asked when she stopped behind him.

The kitchen was small, a little smaller than the one in Sam’s apartment and the thought brought back memories of the night before, when he’d had her on the counter, the warmth of her body filling his hands.

He set the water bottle on the counter and turned back to her, slowly crowding her until she was pressed up against the wall closest to the room she had pointed to. He was relieved when her arms went up around him, her body loose and inviting against his.

“The bedroom.” He replied, staring down at her and giving her his most mischievous smile.

Logan couldn’t resist the temptation to kiss her. He wanted to taste her, to feel her. Her fingers slid up the back of his neck and into his hair, causing his body to harden more than he thought possible. He was in a constant state of arousal and had been since the first day he saw her in the office. He wanted desperately to see how responsive she would be to his touch. How she would react to him and how she would return the pleasure he could give her.

As the images flashed through his mind, he crushed his mouth to hers, taking her hard and fast. Her mouth opened to his, her tongue darting out, while the soft moan escaping her sent chills over him.

He felt the desire to dominate her, to take her to the floor, or against the wall, and thrust hard and fast into her until she was screaming beneath him. That feeling warred with the need to take her gently and ravage her entire body with his tongue.

He was unquestionably a dominating, controlling man, always had been. When it came to sex, those desires often came out in full force. With Sam, it was as if he needed to own her, to know she belonged to him and him only.

All of the things he longed to do to her, with her. They were on constant replay in his mind, contributing to his permanent hard on and making it harder than hell to control himself when she was around. Part of him worried what she would think, what she would do when he took control. As strong and independent as she was, he thought she might be challenged by him. But the way she gave herself over to him so easily made Logan believe it was something she needed.

“Baby, you make me crazy.” He said when he tore his mouth from hers, leaning against her, his lips resting against the sensitive area where her neck and her shoulder met. She smelled like heaven and sin mixed into one.

He’d had a dream the night before, one of those erotic fantasies that left him unsatisfied and wanting when he awoke. In the dream, he’d dominated her, had her begging for a release that he held just out of her reach. Instead of fighting him, she’d succumbed to his every command, allowed him to pleasure her in ways she’d never imagined.

As he stood in the dim light of the cabin, her small, soft body pressed between him and the wall, Logan had the sudden urge to make her strip. To get completely naked and offer herself to him. Only he knew with Sam, they might eventually get to that point, but he had to take it slow. He had to ease her into it, let her know that although he could command her to do whatever he wanted, she still had complete control of him. In every way.

Before he did something as dumb as stripping them both down and burying himself deep inside of her right then and there, he had to put on the brakes. There was plenty of time for that later.

“Lunch?” He asked as he pulled away, readjusting himself, still fighting to maintain his control. He didn’t want to scare her by moving too fast. He didn’t want her thinking sex was the only thing he was after. And it wasn’t, but there was such a strong pull between them he had to keep reminding himself that.

“Sure.” Sam replied, breathless.

Was that disappointment he heard in her voice? He grinned, knowing Sam would eventually give herself over to him completely, he just had to time it right.

“Ok, we’ll have lunch, and then we can go topside and relax for a while. I can’t wait to see you without all of those damned clothes on.” He smiled and turned away, toward the kitchen, reminding himself he had promised to court her, not ravish her.

It might kill him, but he had to keep his hands to himself. He wanted to be with her, near her, inside of her – no – not inside of her. That would come later. After he proved to her that he was interested in her more than just her body. But, what a hot little body it was.

Lunch was eaten on the sundeck, where Logan and Sam spent a long time talking. The conversation ventured toward work, and Sam was relieved that it wasn’t awkward to discuss some of the issues she’d uncovered since she started at the Dallas office. He wasn’t acting like her boss, but she could see him mentally archiving the information for later. She had a sudden need to clarify for him.
