She was beautiful.

When Sam reached for him, her smooth fingers encircling his engorged cock, Elijah sucked in a breath. Fearful he’d drop it, Elijah tossed the condom onto the bed so they could get to it later. For now, she was touching him and that was all that mattered.

Sliding his hands into her hair, he twined the long, gold strands around his fingers as she leaned forward and sucked him into her mouth.

“God, Sam,” he groaned.

Elijah watched his dick slide past Sam’s pretty pink lips, her tongue tormenting the sensitive underside of his cock as she laved him repeatedly.

It was too much.

He was on the brink of exploding. Just the sight of Sam had made him rock hard and he’d battled his own need for her for the last few hours that now he could barely control himself. And he damn sure didn’t want to be in her mouth when he came. Not this time.

Easing her back by tugging her hair, he tilted her head so their eyes met. Planting one knee on the bed between her legs, he moved closer. Sam took the hint, scooting back on the bed until he could crawl on top of her. She fumbled for something and Elijah realized she was searching for the condom he’d tossed there.

Smiling, he reached over and slipped the foil packet into her hand. Sam took over from there, opening the condom and then sheathing him quickly before she grabbed his ass and pulled him forward. Losing his balance, he tumbled on top of her. And when she laughed, his heart expanded at least two sizes.

“God, Sam,” Elijah whispered, his finger trailing down her cheek. “Whatever am I going to do with you?”

“Make love to me?” she asked, her tone light. “Right now. Right here.”

Holding his weight with one hand and one knee, Elijah reached between them and gripped his cock, lining himself up with her wet, hot entrance. He took a moment to tease her with his fingers, first her clit, then he slid one finger inside of her. When her eyes closed and a contented moan escaped, he pulled his hand back and slid home.

“Sam,” he growled, the heat of her body clenching him tightly, holding him to her. “Oh, fuck, Sam.”

Sam cupped his face the way he had hers earlier and she kept her eyes pinned to his. “You feel so good, Eli.”

As though she knew exactly what he needed, Sam continued to whisper as he began moving, sliding inside of her, pulling back. Slowly. Ever so slowly. He didn’t try to increase the pace for fear he’d go off like a rocket.

But then their bodies became one. They were moving together, his mouth finding hers. The kiss scorched him, a conflagration that disintegrated any and all thought.

“Harder, Eli. Yes,” Sam moaned. “Just. Like. That.”

Sam’s words were punctuated by his thrusts, which had increased in tempo to the point he couldn’t slow down. He didn’t want to slow down. She felt so good. Soft, warm… Sam.

“Baby,” he groaned. “Sam… God, I’m not going to last. Oh, Sam.” Her internal muscles squeezed him and Elijah saw stars. He began thrusting his hips harder, faster, his mouth crushing to hers, one hand in her hair as he held her.

“Eli!” Sam moaned his name, and Elijah swallowed her cry, driving into her over and over, their bodies slick with perspiration.

They broke the kiss, the need for air forcing them apart and when their eyes met again, brown locked to green, Elijah knew this was it for him. He’d purposely kept himself locked away, his heart secured in a tiny black box that would allow no one else to penetrate it.

But right here, tonight… This woman… She effectively shattered that box, his heart swelling, emotion nearly consuming him.

Reaching between them, Elijah pressed his thumb against her clit, gently massaging in circles until Sam was crying out, begging for him to never stop.

“Eli! I’m coming!”

“Sam. Oh, God, Sam.” And with that, Elijah followed her over, his release detonating.

And what do you know… That was the night he learned that his heart was big enough to love both Beth and Sam.

Chapter Seventeen

The first golden rays of the sun were creeping through the blinds as Sam laid against Elijah, her hand circling over the light dusting of dark hair over his chest.

After they made love, they had spent a couple of hours talking, holding on to one another as though this were both their first and their last night together. And now, as dawn broke, they’d been asleep for hours, but Sam had awoken to find Elijah gone. At first, she’d been worried, but he had returned moments later with a sheepish grin.

“Nature called.”

Sam laughed and when he crawled back in bed, she’d curled up against him once again. Which was where she was now. The heat of his body pressed up against her, his even breaths grazing her hair. For the better part of the last few minutes, Sam had been thinking about Logan. And Elijah. Both of them together.
