“Chance we shouldn’t,” I said, as our lips pressed together.

His lips worked their way down my neck, and then gently across one of my exposed breasts. My head fell back, and I knew I was losing the battle. “We can’t,” I repeated.

He reached for my waist, pressing me gently against the car. “We can.” He wasted no time unbuttoning my pants.

“We shouldn’t.” It was my last attempt, except the sensations were too strong. I couldn’t fight the desire I had for Chance when he was touching me. I wanted him to continue, and I didn’t care if we were doing it outside, while being locked out of the vehicle.

The next time he pressed his lips on mine I wiggled myself out of my pants. Just as fast as I’d done that, I proceeded to unbutton his pants. Chance picked me up and I wrapped my legs around his waist. My arms went around his shoulders, and within seconds he entered me.

Being with him like this was so erotic. We were exposed in the woods. It was private, but not really. I pulled Chance’s shirt over his head, while hearing a car go by on the road we’d came in on.

We felt the raindrops hitting us, but did nothing until they became heavier. We should have stopped, but the more the rain hit Chance’s body, the more I wanted him. His chest was so slick when my palms glided over it. I leaned forward, lapping up the drops of water off of his skin. The sounds of our bodies slapping together echoed off the trees, along with our matched bout of moans. I reached up, taking a handful of his wet hair and pulled his lips into mine. Our slippery mouths played together, each kiss intensifying with our steady pace. Chance pushed me back, allowing my body to lie flat on the car. He ran his hand over my slick breast, circling my nipple with the wetness from the downpour. Thunder rumbled in the distance, sending chills all over me. This wasn’t just crazy, it was dangerous, making it the hottest sex I’d ever experienced.

I savored Chance’s lips again, sucking the water off of them, and then licking them dry. He teased me with his tongue, pulling away when I leaned in, and with no warning he picked up his rhythm. Chance pumped into me so hard that I cried out each time our skin smacked together. My toes curled as I felt myself losing control of my muscles. As I clung to him overwhelmed with passion, he tightened up, closing his eyes, drawing his ending out. He held me tight against him, and let the rain continue to fall down on us.

We were two people, naked, in the middle of the woods, too caught up in each other to care about anything else.

Finally we came to the realization that we were going to run out of daylight. Chance paced around, I assumed to think of ways to resolve our problem.

“Now what do we do? We’re soaking wet and it’s getting cold,” I said as we began looking around for our clothes. Putting them on was pointless considering they were all in puddles beneath our feet, but we did it anyway. The rain continued to fall and even though we were up shit’s creek, I couldn’t help but admire how beautiful Chance looked soaking wet. He was so irresistible that I had sex with him while stranded in the rain. He was making me lose my mind, and I felt invigorated.

Chance looked around the woods. I had no idea what he was doing, but he seemed like he knew.

The rain was really coming down now. I hugged myself trying to keep warm. Chance came back to the car with a giant rock in his hand. “I promise I will pay to have this repaired, Hope.”

All I could do was nod. I just wanted to be warm.

I hated having to break Hope’s window to get inside the car, but neither of us had our phones. We were stuck in the woods in the middle of nowhere. It wasn’t like I could easily flag someone down to help us. It was starting to get dark and pretty cold, not to mention that the rain wasn’t letting up.

When Hope saw me with the rock she didn’t overreact. I chose the passenger rear window, because it was the smallest. When the rock hit it the tiny tempered glass pieces crumpled in and outside the car. I took my hand and reached in to unlock the door. Once it was open I got Hope inside and ran to the driver’s side to get the car started. When the heat came on, Hope looked relieved. She rubbed her hands together in front of the vents when her teeth chattered. I knew exactly how she felt as I began the same process.

“I thought we were going to freeze to death,” she admitted.

I watched as she continued to hold her hands up to where the hot air was blowing. We were both soaking wet. Before I pulled out of the wet dirt road I remembered she said she had a blanket in the trunk. I ran to the rear of the car and grabbed it, and after I got back in wrapped it around Hope to get her warm faster.

“Is that better?” I asked, while my teeth were still chattering.

“Much.” She gave me a quick smile as I climbed to the back and made a makeshift cover for the broken window out of an old bumper sticker I found on her backseat. I bit the sticker into small pieces so it acted as tape, and used a piece of cardboard from an old taco box I found on the floor. It was a good thing Hope had a messy car.

“Okay, now let’s get you home.” I climbed back into the driver’s seat and put the car into drive.

“Chance?”

“Yeah, baby?”

“I love you.”

I looked toward her. “I love you too. I’d do anything for you. You know that.”

After about a half hour of driving, Hope fell asleep. We only had another half hour to go, so I didn’t bother waking her.

Driving home in the silence gave me a bunch of time to think about everything that happened. I enjoyed visiting the school and seeing what all of our possibilities could be, but I just didn’t feel as excited as I would have anticipated.

I wanted more than just to play a sport forever. Finishing my education was important as well, but I was looking at a bigger picture now. I could do all of those things and have Hope by my side. I didn’t need to separate the two. We needed to make the decision to move together. I wouldn’t do it without her, because I knew that once school was over, she was my future. I couldn’t risk giving that up for any reason.

It wasn’t that Hope would deliberately make me give something like that up. She wasn’t like that at all; in fact, she would have pushed me toward it, forsaking her own happiness for mine. It pissed me off when she put her needs last. I wanted her to be happy too. In all honesty, Hope was the kind of girl that didn’t need much to make her happy. She made do with what she had and was generally satisfied with it. Whatever we were to decide, we needed to do it soon. With Christmas and the wedding, things were about to get hectic.
